摄影师冯妮•莱西(Yvonne Lacet)1980年出生于荷兰的北方城市莱瓦顿(Leeuwarden)，1999至2004年期间就读于乌德勒支皇家艺术学院(Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Utrecht)。

莱西的作品并非由一个又一个的主题构成，而是在一个统一的思想指导下完成。她的作品通过重构那些生活中的微小细节来传达，这些细节通常在一个相同纹理的背景之下显得含混不清，最常见的便是那些被切开或者折叠的纸张。她的所有的作品都在使用一些最基本的构成语言向我们描述一个简洁的摄影世界。她的作品向我们展示了摄影的另一个边界，简化到“无”的摄影。
